My topsy-turvy life

By Rathmandu

Just visiting?

Today's been lovely, weather-wise...or so I've heard.

Laura's not been very well with the Crohn's and the high dose of steroids her consultant put her on doesn't really seem to be working and she's still getting loads of pain. So this afternoon we went on an advised trip to A&E.

After telling 3 different people the problems with all the juicy details, having blood tests, blood pressure, and an x-ray they decided to admit her overnight. It's so they can give her intravenous steroid injections, 4 a day, before she goes on methotrexate. Not ideal but at least it's potentially some kind of progress.

Unfortunately after deciding to admit her they realised that they had no spare beds. They've decided to keep her in A&E over night -it's closed from 10pm at the minute- and then move her in the morning. By which point I'll be back in, this time for work. I'm gonna be knackered.
