NEWCASTLE VISIT

After a cooked breakfast (thanks Rev) we headed up to Newcastle to visit my sister and family.
#We stopped briefly at The Angel of the North.
#Then onto the river to attempt to drive over The Tyne Bridge...after driving under it and by it we found the route over it!!

We were not sure how the visit was going to go as emotions are very wobbly dealing with the horrendous loss of my nephew. However we comforted each other, cried, laughed, shared memories of the past.

My sister cooked us lasagne....no one was going to mention that we had it last night but The Rev started laughing and let the cat out the bag...so then began the Sisters Lasagne Challenge !!!

I'm so glad we went up.
Got back to the cottage in York at 9:30...enough time for last orders at the village pub!!
