Great Crested Grebe.

This morning the sun shone and we opted for a trip to Linlithgow. The car park was very busy with fishermen kitting up for a trip out in their little dinghies. We thought at first that the grebes were hiding from us but then this one popped up, literally!
Several houses back onto the loch and have gates to the path. Today's extra is of a gate "guardian" which just made me smile.
