I Did It

Never ever did I think I'd hold one of these in my hand. A half marathon medal. I ran the whole way. Super proud of myself.
I can't pretend it was easy cos it wasn't. There were times where I could have happily stopped or walked. But with my son with me every inch of the way, Andy cheering me every time we passed him and the most amazing cheering us on volunteers I've come across....I did it!
This medal is the best birthday present I could have given to myself.
Tonight I'm having a raclette meal with my boys.
I've been thoroughly spoilt today with cards, gifts, flowers and so many amazing messages. I'm surrounded by the kindest people. I'm one lucky lady.
I'm going to have a large slice of cake later. I think my efforts today deserve it.
