Rickerby Park

I was in Carlisle earlier and decided to take Bonnie for a little walk in Rickerby Park as haven't been there for a while. I remember the first time I saw this park when I was house hunting and thinking wow what a fantastic park to have in a city and couldn't wait to go dog walking there. Actually even though its called a park its more like the countryside with sheep and cows grazing. The River Eden flows through the park and there's plenty of places for dogs to paddle. Whilst I was there today there were two fisherman in the river up to their waists in water! Oh yes of course Bonnie had her usual paddle but sadly there was a lack of sticks around and her eyesight was not good enough to locate the twigs I was throwing in for her!
