Gotcha!

Riding along Bents Lane early doors today reminded me why I enjoy being on the bike. The sun was just above the hedges so everything was touched with a warm morning light. As I drew near the hare field I looked out for him, not expecting much joy as the grass has grown significantly over the summer, so I was really surprised to see two deer near the wall. Sadly, by the time I had taken out the camera they had spotted me and leapt the wall and were off, but only as far as the field which runs alongside the wood. It's not the best of blips this, and taken at some distance, but I might not see them again.

Then as I got back on the bike and rounded the bend.....there was the hare jogging up the lane in front of me!
