The ordinary - extraordinary!
I love looking at common everyday wildlife and trying to photograph it from an interesting angle, sometimes this works, sometimes not. Every year when spring arrives I love nothing more than photographing spring flowers, and over my years on blip I have shared several of these shots. This little flower, the Lesser celendine Ficaria verna, a very common member of the buttercup family has been the subject of my blip no less than 6 times, so I had to think seriously about blipping it again today, but I did really like this shot!
It is, in essence very me, informative ( you can see what it is) but 'arty' ( you can't see what it is) too.I love the spade shaped stamens and the shiny yellow petals, pure magic!
My extra is a moth I caught last night The pale pinion Lithophane socia, a new 'lifer' for me, something that doesn't happen that often these days, and another nice record for my little garden.
