Brown food

I'm not the greatest carnivore but W, son 1 and son 2 are all keen. Hence the spatchcocked roast chicken tonight. 

I do wonder why some carnivores denounce vegetarian food for being brown (and therefore boring?) when it's actually almost impossible to produce anything meat based that isn't essentially brown. I should have also included the carrots, broccoli, kale tops and swede in the picture. They most certainly were very un-brown.
