Spring at Rowe Woods

Another beautiful sunny day, and after lunch we got out to enjoy it, walking at Rowe Woods, one of the Cincinnati Nature Centre sites. The trail included several stream crossings, via stepping stones, only some of the stones weren't as big or firm as I would have liked them to be! The trail also got extremely muddy at one point, so we decided to turn back rather than continue with the loop - we were almost at the half-way point anyway, so it didn't change the distance a great deal. It was quite a picture in places, with the banks of daffodils and clumps of hellebores, and even one little clump of Virginia bluebells.
