Spitzimixi – Blipmeet!

Blipmeets are always fun! And today’s was particularly special.

Spitzimixi www.blipfoto.com/spitzimixi was one of the very first Blippers I ever followed, back in the heady days of summer 2011, and it’s been great to keep up with her life (and the lives of Mr Spitzi and their 3 amazing daughters) ever since.

But, the chances of actually meeting her have always seemed fairly slim, seeing as a) she lives in Switzerland and b) her life is breathtakingly busy as an agriculturalist, conservationist, autism advocate and family lynchpin - amongst many other things.

But today she found herself in Liverpool 'for one night only' to attend a party, and she had a couple of spare hours to spend with me. Result!

I met her at Lime St station and dragged her over to Chinatown for lunch at The Bagelry, followed by a hot beverage at Bold Street Coffee. It was great to have a good old natter about life, childhoods (hers in Pembrokeshire, mine in Sussex), science, politics, religion and goodness knows what else!

We didn't have time to get onto the topic of music but I know she's a big Red Hot Chili Peppers fan. So, 'Coffee Shop' seems like a reasonable choice for today's tune... www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkkKStRwokQ
