Ladybird circus

These two harlequin ladybirds entertained me for quite a while today, performing around the edge of one of our solar lights in the garden. They (or actually, she) went round and round the edge with him balanced on top, like circus performers. I expected them to finish off by going into the centre and bowing. I would have applauded. I don't think they realised they were entertaining me - they had their mind on something else. Actually, he looked comatose ...which may be why she had decided to take a stroll!
