Cobbler Cobbler mend my shoes.

This was once a cobbler shop where my father took many a pair of boots and shoes to be heeled and soled.we lived down this road for a few years in a two up one down room cottage and outside privy with a bath on the wall.there were many cottages like that in the village it those years.washing was always white and house kept spotless with no mod cons in those days but we were happy.the cobblers became a one level dwelling and kept its original name on the wall.there was also a undertaker just above our cottage which is no longer there.also at the bottom of the road was and still is a monumental masons.and opposite was a paint shop that has long gone.so thats the history of this little street.
