Today was the day my man set off on the first job in his new role as Auditor. He will be travelling all around the world - he says - yet today he took the train to Aberdeen! He will not be returning until after his girl has gone to the big, big school.

We all rushed to look less bed head and more glam head, although I seem to take the longest to do that. Girl had requested a family photo session. I don't remember the last time there was a shot taken of the four of us together. Afterwards I snapped as the two of them played silly buggers. He will miss her, I'm not sure he knows it yet, but he will.

Later I took my girl to the last gymanstics class. The girls were very sweet and there was lots of hugging but no tears. I reckon I could be easily started at the moment.

On dropping my man at the railway station he said I should have a great few weeks, not work too hard and not cry! I think he is perhaps asking just a little too much on at least two counts there.
