Glasgow west end landmarks

Been meaning to blip this for ages now but the bowling green refurbishment works have made it impossible to get a clean shot without fences or parked cars in the foreground.

But not today! My colleagues in the parks department must have been mowing the verges or something and left a gate open so I was able to sneak in and get a couple of cheeky shots from the right side of the fence.

Save for the street lights and the very green and very flat bowling green, I'd wager that this view hasn't changed much in the past 150 years or so. Come 2014 however lawn bowls fanatics of the Commonwealth will be descending on this little corner of Glasgow's west end. I reckon it'll make for quite a spectacle.
