United States Capitol

- The dogs got me up early (surprise, surprise) and decided to go back into the city today and get a blip in before the remnants of what was Hurricane Issac come through the area.

I drove over to the Capitol which is about a mile east from the Jefferson Memorial. Other than one photographer and a couple of ducks in the water, the grounds were totally deserted. My goal was to get a closer shot of the dome with it's reflection. My 35 mm lens allowed a portrait shot but really wanted a landscape shot to go with the blip from yesterday. So, I used the wide angle lens (16mm) and did my best to get the reflection. I'll definitely be going back with a 24mm lens and give this another shot...
