Fresh Tracks

I hadn't really though about what the roadworks were for at the North side of St. Andrews's, roadworks and diversions being the norm rather than the exception in Edinburgh these days. But I was very surprised to see that there are new tram tracks being laid. So after a year or so hiatus they must have settled their differences and decided to continue. This may also explain the roadworks on York Place too. So maybe we will see a tram on a track moving and carrying passengers somewhere in the distant future, mind you by then it might just be a tourist trip in a circle along Princes' Street and Queen Street.

Big brother and his clan are up in Seton Sands this week so I met them and we went for a pizza at Gennaro's in the grassmarket, fairly nice pizza but the spaghetti bolognaise looked a bit too tomatoey to be authentic which suited the 8 year olds fine.
