MonoMonday: Big Tree, Small Feller
This tree surgeon looked and, no doubt, felt rather small at the top of this beech tree he was cutting down next to the lake at Stourhead this morning.
The first extra shows the full (rather alarming) height he was working at; the second a splash of Spring colour for Hobbs's Colour Month Challenge.
We had a spot of lunch in the pub at nearby Kilmington and got back just in time to field a phone call from Kate to say that she'd followed in her mother's footsteps and fainted at work so we collected her and her car and brought her back here. Like Tess whenever she has one of these turns, she needed a cold drink and a while with her feet up before she was feeling back to normal.
