Bride and Drummers

It turned out today we had the Meadow's Marathon, the Half Marathon, the 10k and the 5K running past the end of our estate from 10am until 4pm.
A constant stream or runners in varying stages of euphoria or distress. According to one marshall, the full marathon entailed 18 circuits of the Meadows. I would have lost count after three.

We had a friend who, years ago, signed up for the Antarctic marathon, but when it was cancelled because bad weather meant they couldn't get ashore from the cruise ship, ran something like 34 times round the ship instead, but she wasn't the only one.........and I think I'm obsessive and compulsive!

While His Lordship was otherwise engaged, I went for a 5 mile walk round the marches and came back to find this scene in Middle Meadow Walk. Someone who could be a bride, appears to have wandered in to the wrong event and looks slightly lost in the middle of a group of rather good drummers encouraging the passing runners with their beat.
