Deckchair Weather?

The first job on arriving at an allotment is getting out the deckchairs, don't you think?

Last year we helped katkatkat get sorted out with posts and cages for the two new raised beds she had finally managed to get. This year there had been a surrender of one of the proper big plots on the adjoining site, so she took it.

Our help was needed primarily in moving things by car along the lane from one allotment to the other and then helping as much as we could with weeding and bed preparation.

Our reward for all this, apart from occasionally being allowed to sit on the deckchairs and drink tea, was a meal out at The Bonham in Drumsheugh Gardens. Very nice!
