1. What is going on in the photo?
This is an image of my dog laying on the floor in my dining room next to the table. He is a husky/pit bull mix of about five years old.

2. How does it relate to a specific psychology concept from the current unit or previous unit?
This picture is related to the idea of unconditional positive regard. Unconditional positive regard, a concept developed by the humanistic psychologist Carl Rogers, is the basic acceptance and support of a person regardless of what a person says or does. Dogs seem to have the highest levels of this! Often times they love their owners no matter what!

3. Link the image to one of the perspectives of psychology with an explanation of how it relates.
This image relates to the Humanistic perspective of psychology. Humanistic psychology is grounded in the belief that humans are innately good and morality, ethical values, and good intentions are the driving forces of behavior. It is the study of how we view ourselves versus how others view us.
