Read Across America Day

Also known as Dr Seuss Day as it is his birthday.

You celebrate the day by reading! Yay, a wonderful excuse not to do housework, yet again. Better yet, read to a child.

My house is over flowing with books to the point that some are tucked in a filing cabinet and others on shelves I had built in my clothes closet!

These are just the books I couldn't bear to part with and don't include all the e-books on my iPad.

Dr Seuss has said some things worth remembering;

Why fit in when you were born to stand out?

The more that you read,
The more things you will know.
The more things that you learn,
The more places you'll go.

When you think things are bad
When you feel sour and blue
When you start to get mad...
You should do what I do...
Just tell yourself, Duckie,
You're really quite lucky!
Some people are much more...
Oh, ever so much more...
Oh muchly much-much more
Unlucky than you!

Wherever you fly you'll be the best of the best.
Wherever you go you will top all the rest.
Except when you don't.
Because sometimes you won't.

I'm about to fall into a book where nobody will find me. Have a great day everyone
