2B or Not 2B

I got home from work to find a small package waiting for me. No, it wasn't D in his underpants, it was 2 brand new pencils, carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and with no note except for a tiny piece of paper saying 'Thank you'.
I'm completely befuddled by it.
Why would someone send me pencils anonymously?
Very mysterious....
