Toasty Toes

It's World Book Day and we had a lot planned at school so I was determined to battle through the snow to get to school. We all had to dress as 'Where's Wally' and my scarf, hat and stripy socks were very welcome on such a cold day.
The roads weren't too bad on the way in but coming home was a bit scary. It had snowed lightly all day and a lot of it had drifted across the road between Saffron Walden and Linton. I had to crawl along to try and keep control of the car.

Poppy and Alfie were overjoyed that the Village College was closed and D stayed at home with them. It was nice to come home to a tidy, warm house and a roaring fire.
The forecast looks ok for tonight but tomorrow afternoon might bring us more snow. Not looking forward to the journey home!
