Staying Cool

Time to get cracking - not on eggs but on rhodies on that slope. And a bit of relocation of some of Dug's spiny faves. And I put a thermometer by the steps.
That all done, it was time to wash down and head up to the Filmhouse to see Manchester by the Sea. I've been a bit tardy at keeping up with the latest movies - and as luck would have it Casey Affleck had just won best actor Oscar (and didn't get it taken back off him). Bad luck, as the place was mobbed.
It's a good film to be sure, but lacking any redemption or hope so, yep, more than a bit sad and ultimately just a tad empty. There's an in depth review for yers. The poster says, "breathtaking - a truly incredible piece of cinema." Not sure about that, Sir, as Ted would say.
