Ground Cover
Without a garden and living more or less in the centre of a city, flowers other than those cut in a vase are not exactly prolific in these airts.
Albeit I have managed to blip daffodils and crocuses these last few days, there is a dearth of any thing else bar daisies, and these little purple vinca flowers in the ground cover beside the house.
So there you have it, another day with a flower blip, but very likely the last for a while. I should take up blipping tourists, they are far more numerous and varied on the ground than any flowers.
Before our trudge this morning, I asked His Lordship if it was cold enough for a hat (since he had already been out for a paper), and he said no. I believed him. Big mistake. It felt Arctic as the freezing wind whistled round my ears, so we cut the trudge short to nurse coffees in the nearest to home café.
However the sun is much stronger now as we come to the beginning of March and it was warm enough for me to sit outside and cool down after an afternoon visit to the gym, and before my Irish Friend omts finally phoned. She maintains she knew yesterday was phoning Monday but she misjudged her time dog walking on the beach. All is forgiven as we blethered for an hour today.
