A Cornucopia of Crocuses

Despite a drenching and battering from Storm Doris's wee brother Storm Ewan yesterday, the Meadows' crocuses mustered the strength to open up in the sunshine today and put on quite a show for me as I walked round the policies.

Feeling emboldened by the sunshine and the splash of colour my illegal daffodils make at the wall, His Lordship wielded a trowel and planted some more just for the hell of it. Actually I really don't think any one could possibly object since the planting is a patch of colour in the acres of green surrounding us. In fact the bordering wall would look better in my opinion if the estate management planted daffodils all along it. I even heard one of them say that last year.

It's Monday and I am waiting to see if my Irish friend omts remembers to phone. Sometimes she forgets the day........and she is much younger than me!
