Rainbows
It was a day of rainbows as the extras show. A day of memories and remembering.
My 91 year old blind "aunt" whom I look after at the weekends wished to remember her mother - Elizabeth Robison Simpson (nee McAdam) who passed away on this day in 1980. I knew "Elsie" and always had an affinity with her as we shared the same birthday (if not the year!)
Sadly the wind, squally rain and cold air prevented my aunt from visiting the Chapel of Remebrance today. So I went along with her flowers.
As I got there a rainbow appeared over the grounds, as it did across the city - see extras - as I headed on to see my mother in North Berwick. Despite the winds, there was warmth in the sun when it shone. And warmth in the rugby result today at Murrayfield!
