A friend's home
I had reconnected with a high school friend who has just gotten started in photography (she has taken 2 or 3 technical courses at the local college) within the last 3 years. She and I have been trying to get our schedules together so that we could meet and take some photos and discuss things..she had so many questions on my thought processes when I took photos. That gave me a chuckle..it is called look, see, shoot.
When I got to the location I was thrilled to see her home was a restored colonial house. She said they bought the house 30 years ago and only had to do some minor cosmetic updates then but have done some extensive updates in the years they have been there. The bottom floor is a bedroom, living area and bath along with a laundry/junk room. The front porch up the steps opens into a hallway, to the left is the dining furnished in antiques..which is her husband's business. To the right is her bedroom, antiques again but she has no closet..just an antique wardrobe that she changes out for winter and summer clothes. Yikes..one wardrobe for her/one for her hubby.
Just beyond the entrance hallway to the right is a bathroom, to the left a small sitting room and further left a bedroom..again with no closet. The kitchen at the back of the house is just off the sitting room...it is quite large and she said they recently remodeled it to add some cabinets that were lacking.
We had a great day talking and laughing, took some photos and plan to get together again for a photo walk somewhere else.
A back view of the house in the extra..this porch goes into the kitchen.
