Barn Work Update

Back at the end of January, I posted an entry about the work being started on re-siding our old tobacco barn.  Significant headway has been made, and now two sides have been completed.  The picture on the left shows the new, improved look (that bright red colour is just the primer -- it will be painted "proper" barn red when all the siding is completed).  There is a new window in the peak which looks much better than the ugly old one -- salvaged from some old building site many years ago -- that used to be there.  The picture on the right shows the as-yet unfinished end (complete with ugly window, the twin of the recently deposed one) with scaffolding erected and ready to get back to work on Monday morning.

Off to Boston now.  We close on the new apartment on Wednesday!
