Hanging

I am not tall enough to grab a swinging hand hold.

Travelled home by a bus from Richmond (there a road works on my usual route).
The bus driver was exemplary in his driving abilities, may no mistake. However, he stopped at every single stop for at least three minutes with no explanation.
I can only assume he was ahead of time, him being so brilliant at driving a bus and all.

It would be nice, if just once in a while, a bus driver had a conversation with his passengers, passed the time of day, let them know what's occuring.
Is that too much to ask?
