Between fen and mountains

The hulk

This barge no doubt plied its trade on the Wash years ago.  It may be the remains of a Fenland lighter but I am not an expert on boat identification.  It is on the river Witham opposite the Bridge cafe where we were busier than usual this morning.  I went to the new dentist in the afternoon. He did two big fillings and caused me some pain when he hit a nerve on the second tooth.  He then said at the end that the prognosis on the two teeth was poor and that I might need one or more extractions.  He said if it hurt when I thawed out I should take painkillers over the weekend and return to have the tooth extracted next week.  He worked very quickly and was rather rough so I was not impressed.  I was also told off for going to the dentist in France which is a bit rich given that he sounds Spanish!
