Loves the staff

Here's mom with the Silverado social worker, Ali. You'd never know Ali is 10 days from her due date! Mom expresses lots of interest in the baby to come, though it will probably be a while before Ali returns and is able to pass the baby around to residents.

We had lovely weather for a walk today. Mom continues to say she wants to go home, and who can blame her? She says the people [residents] say the same things over and over or are mean to her, but every report I get from the staff is glowing: mom helps others, she's kind, she stays busy.

When I left at dinner time, she was saying she wouldn't eat and wanted to go home, but as soon as a staff person came over to her and asked her if she'd go and sit with her and Gwen, mom said okay and was ready to follow.

So, again, maybe I take her resistance as more than what it is? I am amazed at how different everyone is in the disease state. But of course, they were different before the disease, too.

Anyway, we are making progress.
