Concorde
Last post before vacation.
That Storm Doris has a lot to answer for - I nearly didn't make it home this afternoon.
The flight from St Petersburg to Charles de Gaulle, Paris was a bit late landing and although I didn't run, it was only just enough time to get between terminals and gates. It really is a horrible airport.
The pilot said it was going to be windy when we got towards Manchester but when we got there and he said we might have to divert back to Paris, I nearly had a heart attack!!!
Luckily, he managed to land the plane on the second attempt to a thunderous round of applause! Not heard clapping on a plane since the last time we were on a charter flight about 20 years ago...
It then took nearly 2 hours to do what would normally be a 40 minute journey from the airport due to the motorway being closed at the viaduct, so it's not been a very relaxing day.
We have finally finished our packing and are ready for the off. Taxi is booked for 06:15am so an early night it is.
This is the Concorde at CDG airport - the only shot I took today. Tomorrows will most likely be another airport shot as we are traveling all day to end up in Miami late at night.
Hopefully I will get chance to post some shots from our island hopping trip if we can find some Wifi.
Thanks to everyone who has still been checking out my journal and leaving lovely comments and stars despite my lack of reciprocation. It is much appreciated.
