Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Hello Roo!

What an energetic day I've had! I was up at 8am to take Archie out, then I went to the gym for a swim before aquafit. This was not to be - it was too busy, so I just flapped around at the deep end, er, exercising.

Aquafit was (sort of) fun - all the old biddies singing along to Abba etc. Actually, I exaggerate, they're we're not all old. And there was one brace man amongst us today.

From there I went into the gym. That sounds quite impressive, but really, I don't exactly overdo it there. I was there for two hours in total, so it must have done some good.

Annemique was too busy to take Archie out today, so in the afternoon we took the bus to to Braidburn Valley Park. Archie kept letting out wee 'yips', which are not as bad as wee 'yaps'.

In the park we met lots of dogs, but sweet wee Roo the Bedlington Terrier and her mum were very friendly. Actually, when we met, Roo had a muzzle on. Was she very fierce? Did she eat poo? No, she chewed sticks all the time. However, her mum took the muzzle off while she and Archie had a wee play and a wee pose - I've sent some photos to them. Roo's long ears kept floating up hilariously in the wind! They were very good, especially as other dogs kept coming along, including two Scotties.

JR and Archie then walked all the way along Morningside Road (I got the bus) and we met at the new cafe. They walked home too (I got the bus).

So all in all, we all deserve our time on the sofas this afternoon. I think I may have overdone it...
