Diary of an Edinburgher

Treats!

Well, Archie has had a great day. Mind you, in the scheme of things, he usually does. Kerri and Luke, his fairly regular walkers came this morning to take him and his new retractable lead out. They were happy about that, although he's always been good at coming back for them.

He was just back, when J texted to ask if he could go up the Hill with Bailey. Yes! A good run around up there, though quite a bit of mud and dirt was eaten by both dogs. I think Bailey has learned this habit from Archie. Bailey has reciprocated by teaching him to bark like billy-o as soon as we reach the car park. They're like a couple of naughty kids.

J stayed for some soup and the dogs had another wee romp in the back garden. Then the only blot on Archie's day - a nice warm shower. JR got her slippers wet again, but was in charge of them drying on top of the woodburner, so no melted plastic fumes this time.

JR is up and dressed and feeling a teensy bit better, though I doubt that she will go to school tomorrow. And I'm still sniffle-free!

I nipped to the shop for a few essentials, and these Maltesers jumped into my bag. None for Archie though. Nor, indeed, for JR. Cough lozenges for her!
