Tower of Strength On a Hill of Dreams

A day for a walk with J, through Pontypool Park and up the hill, past the shell grotto and on to the Folly Tower on the ridge. On a clear day there's a good view over the surrounding countryside, with today's mist it's a rather hazy view over the next field! 

It's a good couple of hours out, probably not much more than an hour walking but I like to look for photos of course.  In all of the murky greyness around I was struck by the colours of the lichens growing on the tree bark [but that's a photo for another day].
