Chicken Run
"I was eating in a Chinese restaurant downtown. There was a dish called Mother and Child Reunion. It's chicken and eggs. And I said, I gotta use that one."
Paul Simon
So after a day hunched over the computer monitor and Architects Drawings under grey skies, I noticed the weather lifting a bit , even some faint patches of blue sky. Definitely time for some fresh air. Headed for Two Locks and parked near the canal, always a good standby for a stroll at short notice. By now it was approaching dusk so it was only a short stroll, more a search for a quick photo than a walk. As I headed back to the car I saw this chicken strolling along a wall alongside the road, out for a walk the same as me. The owner bustled out of the house and explained "he's always doing this...I have to get him back in before night time so the foxes don't get him". With that she went around the side of the house where I could see the bird patiently (?) waiting by the gate to the chicken run to be let back in.
