Moss on a wall
It was my youngest daughter Esther's birthday today, so while Mr U&L was manning the model railway exhibition in the town I took her her present. I left her house in wonderful warm sunshine, and decided to go for another little tripette to the South downs churches to look at the snowdrops.
This time I visited Stopham church, (see extra), where there were not only snowdrops, but wild daffodils too.
I then drove to Selham church where I fell in love with this beautiful moss complete with fruiting bodies growing in the churchyard wall. I love the way the bright green spore capsules 'float' above the main moss cushion on wirey brigh red stems......really very pretty
