Descent

A day of changing light as the temperature went to 24C and The Boss was glad he got a haircut. When we turned up at the Clip joint and told the nice lady he needed a No 4 she admonished him “cos “he was well overdue”  and needed to come bark earlier next time. He pointed out that he had come a long way (from the South Island)  but she just persisted in joining him up in the Clip Club which almost got him an immediate free cut and said she expected to see him in a month.  He did not revel that this was unlikely as he didn’t want to lose brownie points.
She said that I was in good shape but probably needed a quick rinse and blow dry. I was worried about shrinkage so declined.

This image is looking at the airport approach from the North which is used when the wind is blowing from the South and the lighting tonight was very attractive coupled with the arrival of international flights and larger planes. The default wind in Wellington is probably from the North so interesting stuff develops when the winds meet and disagree. Wellington Airport can deliver some real excitement at times and the pilots are often rewarded with applause when wheels finally hit the ground and stay there.
