Coming in for Landing

It is 'scorchcio' hot here today. John and I took a walk along the beach at Isla Aguida which fronts on to the Bay of Mexico part of the Atlantic. Blue sea and blue sky. This area is a fishing village and the boats were back and dealing with their catches which will be in many restaurants for this evening.

There are vast quantities of pelicans around no doubt waiting for the scraps - enormous birds that look most ungainly trying to take off! I found a large group sitting on a jetty and just had to wait for one or two to fly in to complete the image.

We are off on a boat tour later and, thankfully, the sea looks very calm. Hoping for dolphins.
