Eight Hours Apart
The top photo was the sun when I first looked out of the window this morning - a white sun in an amber sky. It presaged a lovely day - so mild that some kids were swimming in the sea this afternoon, albeit in wetsuits. It did look very blue and inviting (see the bottom photo, from Slapton Sands), but not warm enough for me, even with a wetsuit! After yesterday's miserable fog all day, today it was a joy to walk down the newish coast path and along the beach. Came back up the hill on the bus, mind you!
My Extra is by way of an experiment - trying to emulate Hockney. I think maybe there isn't any particular focal point, so not sure I achieve anything worthwhile. What do you think? I'd love to have some feedback. (I haven't seen his exhibition, but as it doesn't finish till May, I hope to get down to London again before it finishes.)
