Somewhere across Europe two hours disappeared so it is late evening when I arrive in Athens airport.

At the hotel, ace toiletries, I head down to the Terrace Bar where there is an 'open air pergola deck'. Really, I'd prefer to have eaten in the roof terrace restaurant where I could enjoy 'a spectacular view over the Airport's runways.' as it says in the hotel guide.

So the airport hotel is not the real Athens but it means a slightly longer lie in the morning before I get my flight to Skyros.

Can't wait.
