Wood Pigeon in Flight

Today was a good day for wood pigeons, with more appearing on the chmineys opposite our apartment than for quite a while; they didn't linger in most cases, but clouds eliminated possible shadows. This fellow took off from directly opposite, and I'm posting the first and last of four good images--he takes off in the extra. The main image with wings down is as good as any flight shot I've ever taken :) 

I'v added a further extra from yesterday of 3 Giacometti busts from the Pompidou's collection (2x brother Diego, his wife Annette, l to r--Dubuffet in the background).
