Ready to Load

8.6C bright and sunny. More cloud in the afternoon. Wind E/ESE to 32 mph, with gusts to 41 mph.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for a walk after lunch. We went round to the harbour then along past the ferry terminal to the park.  At the end of the park we turned and came back along the street side then came home through town past the town hall and the bookshop (only just open ... we saw the owner go in with his two collies).

BBC Bahrain was still at the new quay. Wind turbine tower sections were being lifted from low loader trailers and positioned on the quay ready to be lifted on board. The deck cover plates were being opened. The wind is forecast to abate as the afternoon goes on so some loading may go ahead later. The change in direction to ESE had already made a difference round the loch and the temperature difference was noticeable.

Once Maeve was back home and settled I went for a walk out to the shipyard. It was much easier walking with the change of wind direction and I got quite warm coming back. I took my hat off !
