West Derby Village
After last weeks venture around St Mary's Church and the Village of West Derby. As promised I tried to find out more about this fascinating area of Liverpool. Todays blip is of part of the school building next to St Mary's.
St Mary's was designed by the same person that designed Liverpool Cathedral (Sir Giles Gilbert Scott). The partly hidden Lion (one of last week's extras) has a partner (see first extra today), they are dating from the time of the 4th Earl of Sefton (William Molyneux 1835-97).
Also in the extras is one of the church's side doors, the details of the metal work were fascinating. Have a fun day, I am so far. We are now into the second weeks of minding the grandbrats and Milo the pooch. Must say they have been very good so far. Hope I don't regret saying that
