An old woman's day

Well it's been misty and showery here at Lake Tarawera today and a good day for an old woman to sit on the couch and read a book about an old Dutchman of 83 and a quarter but this old woman spent 6 hours cleaning out kitchen cupboards , sorting stuff for the op shop and cleaning the oven , then going for her daily swim out round the wee island in the bay and back again. Last night , I had a surprise call from a chap I was at high school with as foundation year pupils of Kamo High School in 1960. A great old chat as he is gathering data of foundation year alumni. We're not 83 and a quarter but some of us will be in about 15 years...24 have already shuffled off this mortal coil , I was surprised to learn. Practice breathing...that's the thing.
