Stripping

On a cold snowy day I kept warm in the heated workshop at the gliding club stripping fabric off the aileron of a Turbulent.

It was a surprisingly satisfying task as I removed the fabric and dope from the wooden construction revealing its skeleton underneath. Built in the 1950s the aircraft is being refurbished and will sport a new paint colour when complete.

Tonight is more birthday bubbles with friends as I stretch celebrations across the whole week.
