Aït-Benhaddou
Aït-Benhaddou is an amazing Berber fortified village in southern Morocco near Ouarzazate. It is called ighrem in the Berber language; a ksar , in Arabic.
Many movies have been shot there. Among the list, there is: Lawrence of Arabia with Peter O'Toole, The Mummy, Gladiator, etc...
When I first came here, it was in ruins. But then in 1987 UNESCO added it on its World Heritage list. Ksar of Aït-Benhaddou
Today, it has been restored and has become a major landmark.
