If you are ever in Tofino be sure to buy one of these. This lovely kitchen spatula is a joy to use. It is warm and smooth and just the right shape for stirring or scraping sauces etc. It is also pleasing to look at!
I bought it in a shop in Tofino which is a fishing and whale watching village on the west coast of Vancouver Island. We were on a long trip in 2004 when we drove from Vancouver, crossed to Vancouver Island, took the ferry from the north of the island up the Inside Passage. From there it was a two day drive across to Jasper, then down the Icefield Parkway to Banff and eventually ending up in Calgary to stay with friend Beth. The Calgary stay included The Stampede and The Cirque de Soleil. What a trip!
The little spatula is just one of the souvenirs I brought home, but is certainly the most used.
