Perilous Rescue
It warmed yesterday, snow melted and refroze overnight. I drove Jeff down to the highway to meet and drive up with the tow truck driver. Some sections of the road held a thick layer of ice and we wondered about making a successful return trip. Jeff drove with driver to provide guidance on certain turns and sections of the road.
I managed to make it back up the hill to the house garage, and after parking I noticed the tow truck was nowhere in sight. I hiked down hill and found them at a particularly shaded and icy curve, putting a chain on one of the tires. Eventually the driver made it to the garage where the truck and plow are stored.
He was very experienced and displayed a terrific attitude despite the difficulty with this complicated tow. Jeff called the company and provided a commendation for the driver. The truck is now being repaired. We have seen some snow flurries and hope the repair is completed before another big snow arrives!
The extras show a couple photos of the ice, sun and shadows.
Thanks for your supportive comments about this unfortunate situation.
